Animal Care & Control

The Louisville Metro Animal Services Department not only enforces the Louisville Animal Control Ordinances, but also has an animal care and adoption center. To report violations of the ordinances, residents are encouraged to call 363-6609, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Animal Care Society, a no-kill animal shelter two and a half miles east of Creekside, has animals available for adoption.

The Shamrock Foundation and Alley Cat Advocates, Inc. are two other animal care societies in the Louisville Metro area.
